Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to your use of soundwaterco.com and to the consultations, installations, and ongoing care that Sound Water Co. provides. Please read them before submitting a request.

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Our Services

We provide whole-home water filtration systems, installed where water enters your home, together with ongoing care for the system we install. Care is available on three paths: scheduled visits from our team with replacement filters, filter cartridges shipped to you to change yourself, and service on request. You may change your care path over time by contacting us.

We serve Fairfield County, Connecticut. We may decline or end service where a property falls outside our service area, where the work is not something we are equipped to do safely, or where access or site conditions prevent a sound installation.

Consultations and Quotes

We aim to provide a free, no-obligation in-home water assessment to everyone who asks. Circumstances vary, and a complex project may require a payment before installation. Where that applies we will say so in advance, and any amount will appear in your written quote.

At the assessment we look at your water and how your home is plumbed, discuss what you want from a system, and recommend one. If your water does not need filtering, we will tell you.

Pricing is discussed during that visit and confirmed in a written quote afterward. The quote sets out the recommended system, the scope of work, the price, the payment schedule, the warranty terms that apply, and any cancellation terms. No price is binding until it appears in a written quote, and a quote is valid for the period stated on it.

Installation

Installation is performed by our licensed installation partner. We coordinate the work, remain your point of contact throughout, and are responsible to you for the job.

You agree to provide safe access to the installation location and to the main water supply on the scheduled date, and to tell us about anything on the property that could affect the work, including existing plumbing conditions and any prior water treatment equipment. Installation timelines are estimates. Site conditions, permitting, and supply can move a date, and we will tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to reschedule or cancel a scheduled installation or service visit, contact us as early as you can. Any cancellation terms that carry a charge will be stated in your written quote before you accept it.

Ongoing Care

Care plans continue until you cancel them. You may change your care path or cancel at any time by calling or emailing us, and the notice period and billing cycle that apply to your plan are stated in your quote. Filter replacement intervals are recommendations based on your system and household use, and actual intervals vary with water conditions and consumption.

Warranties

Workmanship on the installation is warranted by the licensed contractor who performs it. Equipment carries the manufacturer warranty for that system, which we pass through to you. The terms and duration of both are provided with your quote and with your system documentation.

These warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, alteration or servicing by anyone we did not send, freezing, water pressure or supply conditions outside the system specifications, or failure to replace filters on the recommended schedule.

Your Property and Access

You confirm that you own the property or are authorized to approve this work on it. Where a property is rented, managed, or held in trust, we may ask for the owner’s written authorization before we begin.

Water Quality

Filtration reduces the presence of certain substances in water. The degree of reduction depends on the system installed, the condition of your incoming water, and maintenance.

Information on this site about municipal water is drawn from public sources, including utility reports and published federal standards and health guidelines. It describes utility service areas, not the water at your particular tap.

Text Messaging and Calls

If you provide your mobile number, we may send you text messages relating to your request, including scheduling, quotes, installation updates, and follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP or call us at (203) 293-8607 for assistance.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Calls with us may be recorded or noted for service and record-keeping purposes.

Website Use

The content on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice. The text, images, and marks on this site belong to us or to our licensors, and you may not copy or reuse them commercially without our permission. You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt it or to access it by automated means that place an unreasonable load on it.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It forms part of these terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Connecticut law, our liability arising out of our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and any dispute arising under them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date shown above. The terms in effect when you accept a quote are the ones that apply to that work.
